Chairman of Atlantia since April 2010.Born in Florence in 1944, he is a Cavaliere del Lavoro (having received the Order of Merit for Labour) and holds a degree in Business Administration from the “La Sapienza” University in Rome. He began his career at Assicurazioni Generali, becoming CEO in 1997 and Deputy Chairman in 2001 and holding these positions until 2002. He has held several senior management positions at many leading Italian and international insurance companies. He was Chairman of INA Assitalia until 2003 and Chairman of ANIA (Italy’s National Association of Insurance Companies) until 2011.
He is currently Deputy Chairman of UnipolSai, a director of the Cerved Group and Chairman of the ARCA insurance group. He is a member of the boards of directors of Edizione, Abertis SpA and AISCAT, and a member of the executive committees of Assonime, the Censis Foundation and ANSPC (Associazione Nazionale per lo Sviluppo dei Problemi del Credito). He is also an academic member of AIDEA, the Italian Academy of Business Economics.
Chief Executive Officer
Born in Monselice (Padova) in 1965, member of Atlantia SpA’s Board of Directors since April 2013. He is currently a director at the subsidiaries, Abertis Infraestructuras and Autostrade per l’Italia, and at Cellnex Telecom. He is a director and General Manager of Edizione. In the past, Carlo Bertazzo has held the role of CEO of Gemina and Deputy Executive Chairman of Aeroporti di Roma, prior to Gemina’s merger with Atlantia.
Giancarlo Guenzi was born in 1955 and he graduated in Business Administration from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”; he is a chartered accountant and auditor.
He has been working for the Group since 1994 after gaining valuable experience in Italstat Group and KPMG. He was for several years head of Group Planning and Control; from 2003 to 2007 he was appointed CEO and General Manager of Pavimental, the construction and maintenance Company of the Group infrastructure and pavements. Subsequantely, from 2007 to 2019, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Autostrade per l'Italia and Atlantia and for the same period he has been the Manager Responsible for Financial Reporting at Atlantia.
He is Chairman of Telepass, Vice-Chairman with delegation to finance of Autostrade per l'Italia and a director of a number of Group companies. On 17 September 2019 he was appointed by the Board of Directors General Manager of Atlantia.
Chief Financial Officer
Atlantia’s Chief Financial Officer and Manager Responsible for Financial Reporting from 17 September 2019.
Born in Milan in 1973, Mr Ceccarani obtained a degree in Operations Engineering from the Polytechnic of Milan, where he was subsequently awarded a Master’s Degree in Engineering & Contracting.
He began his career in 2001 at the Enel Group, working in M&A. In 2005, he joined Terna as Head of M&A and, in 2008, was appointed CFO of the listed Brazilian subsidiary, Terna Participações. From 2010, he was Head of Planning & Control at the Terna Group, where he became CFO and Manager Responsible for Financial Reporting in 2016. He also served as a member of the boards of a number of the Terna Group’s Italian and overseas subsidiaries.
In September 2017, he joined Poste Italiane as Head of Planning & Control, before being appointed head of Planning, Control & Financial Reporting and Manager Responsible for Financial Reporting in 2018. Whilst at the Poste Italiane Group, he was also a member of the board of PostePay.
Head of Group Compliance and Security – Executive Vice President
Head of Group Compliance and Security since November 2016, he was born in Naples in 1964. Lawyer, he graduated in Law at Federico II University of Naples. In 1989 he started working as a corporate lawyer in a financial institution. In 1990, he joined Telecom Italia, dealing with corporate affairs for 10 years (holding various positions, including Secretary Office of the Board of Directors, Corporate Operations, and International Corporate Affairs). In this context, he oversaw important extraordinary operations: mergers, spin-off, IPO, acquisitions. Between 2000 and 2016 he worked within the legal affairs department of Telecom Italia, in roles of increasing responsibility, until being appointed head of legal affairs for the industrial and business activities of the Group. Since June 2016, he is also the General Counsel and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Aeroporti di Roma.
Head of Remuneration Policy and Governance
Born in Turin in 1968, Monica Cacciapuoti obtained a degree in Philosophy before taking up a variety of increasingly senior management positions in Human Resources and Organisation. Having begun her career with the Burgo group, she then worked for Techint and Spencer Stuart, before moving to Autostrade per l’Italia as Head of Human Resources in 2006.
She was Group Head of Human Resources at Atlantia from 2013 to 2019 and, from September 2015, has also been Head of Human Resources and Organisation at Aeroporti di Roma.
She is now the Secretary to Atlantia’s Human Resources and Remuneration Committee and a director of a number of Group companies.
General Counsel – Executive Vice President
General Counsel since January 2015, born in 1963, he graduated in Law from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” before completing an MBA at SDOA Business School.
Since 2007 he has been Head of Corporate and International Legal Affairs at Autostrade per l'Italia and in 2014 he was appointed Head of Legal Affairs – Executive Vice President of the company. Before working for the Atlantia Group he held several management positions in the Caltagirone Group, Telecom International and Telecom Italia. He has gained considerable international experience in complex and relevant M&A and market operations, privatizations, contractual and regulatory litigation as well as in corporate and compliance management. From September 2015 to May 2016 he was Legal Director of Airporti di Roma, maintaining the role in Atlantia . He is Vice President with delegation to Regulatory and Legal Affairs at Autostrade per l'Italia director of Aeroporti di Roma and of a number of the Group’s Italian and overseas subsidiaries.
Francesco Fabrizio Delzio
Head of External Relations, Institutional Affairs and Marketing - Executive Vice President
Head of External Relations, Institutional Affairs and Marketing of Atlantia and Autostrade per l'Italia, he is also Chairman of Ad Moving, the advertising sales agency for the highway sector, and Director of the TV services My Way and Infomoving as well as of the Agorà magazine. He is member of the General Council of Unindustria of Rome and Lazio and of the scientific Council of Symbola. He is also Joint Director of the Masters in Corporate Relations, Lobbying and Corporate Communication at the Luiss Guido Carli University where he teaches “Corporate Communication” and “Politics, Institutions and Lobbying”. He is also Scientific Coordinator of the Executive Program on “Management of Consumer Relations”. He has written numerous texts on economic and social issues and is editor of Avvenire, Prima Comunicazione and InPiù.
Born in Bari in 1974 , he holds an honours degree in Law from Luiss Guido Carli University. In 1999 he completed a master's degree at RAI, Italy’s television service, in broadcast journalism and is a professional journalist. From 2008 to 2011 he was Head of Corporate Affairs and External Relations at the Piaggio Group, Vice President of Confindustria Ancma and member of Finmeccanica’s executive. Previously, from 2001 to 2007 he was Director of the Young Entrepreneurs' division of Confindustria (the Confederation of Italian Industry). Before this he was a professional journalist in RAI and analyst at the Luiss University where he coordinated the Lab for Modernisation. He sat on the Board of the Luiss Guido Carli University, of that of EICMA SpA and of the Piaggio Foundation.
Chief Human Resources and Organization Officer
Atlantia’s Chief Human Resources and Organization Officer from September 2019, Peter Durante was born in Gioia del Colle (BA) in 1973 and has a Law degree from the University of Bari .
He began his career in 1997 at La Rinascente where, after leaving to be Head of HR at Pirelli Cavi e Sistemi, he returned to be HR Director until 2005. That year saw him appointed HR Director for Fiat Auto’s Sales division. Between 2006 and 2011, he was HR Director for various divisions of Pirelli Tyre until he was appointed HR Director for the Auto business unit. He then joined the Prysmian Group in 2011 as Senior Vice President HR & Organization, first in the US and later in central and eastern Europe.
Head of Higway Business Coordination - Executive Vice President
Born in Rome in 1961, Roberto Mengucci has been Head of the Motorways Business since October 2018.
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rome’s "La Sapienza" University and has worked for the Atlantia Group since 2008, holding the position of Head of International Business Development at Autostrade per l'Italia until 2017, when he was appointed General Manager at the holding company that manages the Group’s overseas motorway investments. He gained experience in international business development as Head of M&A at the Finmeccanica group until 2008, Country Manager International Operations and Head of M&A at the Telecom Italia group until 2004 and as International Development Project Manager at Enel until 2001.
He is the chairman and a director of a number of the Atlantia Group’s overseas subsidiaries and General Manager of the holding company, Autostrade dell’Atlantico.
Chief Group Control & Risk Management Officer
Chief Controlling Officer since February 2015, born in 1968, he graduated in Business Administration from the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and is a chartered accountant and auditor.
He is board member in some Group subsidiaries.
Until January 2015 he was Chief Strategic Planning & Control Officer of the OTB Group.
Before that, he held several management positions, gaining international experience in the fields of planning and controlling in various multinational groups: EDS, Siemens, Omnitel/Vodafone.
From 2005 to 2008 he was Head of Planning and Controlling of Autostrade per l'Italia.
Head of Corporate Development and Investor Relations - Executive Vice President
He was born in 1973, has a degree in business economics from Milan’s Bocconi University and completed a Program in International Management at Montreal’s McGill University. He is board member in foreign Group subsidiaries.
Before joining the Atlantia Group in 2002 he worked at Morgan Stanley, Citigroup and Edizione Holding.
Head of Group Infrastructure Development - Executive Vice President
Head of Group Infrastructure Development since December 2013, Gennarino Tozzi was born in Rome in 1955, holds a Civil Engineering degree from the University of Rome. He has a broad experience in the field of infrastructures. He has served as General Manager, CEO and Chairman of several construction companies, as Gambogi, Società Condotte d'Acqua e Todini Costruzioni Generali. He joined Atlantia group as Autostrade per l'Italia Head of New Projects in 2003 .Then he was appointed as Operations Director Infrastructure Development and Joint Chief Operating Infrastructure Development. Since December 2013, He is director in some Group subsidiaries and Chairman of Pavimental, a construction and maintenance company of the Atlantia Group.
Head of Airport Business Coordination - Executive Vice President
Born in Naples in 1971, Marco Troncone has been Head of the Airports Business since October 2018.
He obtained a degree in Chemical Engineering from Federico II University in Naples, before completing a Master in Business Administration at SDA Bocconi. He previously worked for Aeroporti di Roma, first as Head of Strategic Planning and Board Relations from 2011 and then as Chief Financial Officer between 2013 and 2018. Prior to this, he worked in Italy and overseas with Sintonia SA, A.T. Kearney and Technip Italy, gaining extensive experience in strategy, corporate finance and infrastructure, with a particular focus on airports. He is a director of a number of Group companies.
Head of Finance and Insurance – Executive Vice President
Born in 1963 he is graduated with a degree in economics from the University of Pisa in 1987. Before joining ASPI in 2005, he worked former at Fiat Auto S.p.A. and Fininvest S.p.A. and most recently in Indesit Company as Finance Manager. Since August 2014 he has served as Head of Finance and Insurance of Atlantia and Head of Finance of ASPI. He is also director in certain Group subsidiaries.
