Corporate Social Responsibility

Atlantia considers Corporate Social Responsibility to mean combining infrastructural growth with environmental sustainability through the implementation of projects having a positive effect on the Group’s performance and on the entire community.
The company’s commitment to sustainable development follows four lines of action:
  • energy generation from renewable sources;
  • energy saving
  • increasing traffic fluidity to reduce road congestion and pollution;
  • use of innovative technology to reduce waste production and increase the recycling rate.

Since 2009 Atlantia is listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, the global index for the corporate social responsibility of the 2,500 best international companies included in the Dow Jones Global Indexes, along with the top performers in the transportation and infrastructure sector.
