Atlantia will continue to invest in improving behaviour models in accordance with commitments deriving from its signing up to the United Nations Global Compact project, which aims to promote corporate social responsibility with the ultimate goal of building a more sustainable and non-discriminatory global economy.
In February 2010 Atlantia received the World Finance Corporate Governance Award for Italy, a prize awarded annually by the leading financial magazine, World Finance (a World News Media Group publication), to the company adjudged to have the best corporate governance. In the words of Professor Gros-Pietro, Chairman of Atlantia, “this award from World Finance is confirmation that we are heading in the right direction, and will inspire us to strengthen our efforts to establish a benchmark for our market”.
