1. Introduction

This Cookie Policy, provided pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation no. 679/2016 - General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter "Regulation" or "GDPR") is intended to explain the types and methods of use, as well as to provide guidance on actions to refuse or delete cookies on the website, if desired.

2. What cookies are and how they are used

Cookies are packages of information sent by a web server (e.g. the website) to your internet browser, which automatically stores them on your computer and automatically sends them back to the server each time you access the website.

This website may use, including in combination with each other, the following types of cookies classified according to the instructions provided by the Italian Data Protection Authority and, at European level, by the Working Party pursuant to art. 29:

  • Session, which are not permanently stored on the user's computer and are deleted when the browser is closed. These cookies are strictly limited to transmission of the session identifiers required to enable safe and efficient exploration of the website, avoiding the use of other IT techniques that could potentially compromise the confidentiality of the user's browsing.

    • Analytics. These cookies are used to collect and analyse statistical data regarding access/visits to the website.     • Widgets. This category includes all the graphic components of a program's user interface, which are aimed at facilitating the user's interaction with the program itself. For example, the cookies of Facebook, Google+ and Twitter are widgets.
    • Advertising. This category includes cookies used to advertise on a website.
    • Web beacons. This category includes code fragments that enable a website to transfer or collect data by requesting a graphical image. Websites may use them for various purposes, such as analysing use of the websites, monitoring and reporting on advertisements, and personalising advertisements and content.

Specifically, the cookies used are:
  • _umta is a persistent cookie with an expiry date of two years from the time it is written. The content is a numerical hash in the form of 6 groups of numbers separated by dots. The data collected represent the times of your last visit, the previous visit and the first recorded visit. There is also a visitor counter. These data are sent to Google's servers every time you open a page with the tracking code, and are used to calculate, among other things, the visitor's recency and the time elapsed since the last visit.
  • __utmb, a session cookie. It contains the timestamp of the moment the website was entered. 
  • __utmc is a session cookie that expires when you physically close your browser, and is able to calculate, for example, the average time spent on the pages. 
  • _utmt is a temporary cookie used to speed up the service request speed. It only collects data on high traffic websites.
  • _utmv is a persistent cookie that expires two years after creation, and contains data that has been decided on by the webmaster. 
  • __utmz, is a persistent cookie that expires 6 months after creation or update (but this value may be changed). It contains your account's hash, a timestamp of its creation, some parameters regarding the number of visits and a set of data about the source, the campaign, and the keywords you type.

PHPSESSID First-party technical cookie Cookie used to establish a user session and to pass status data through a temporary cookie, which is commonly referred to as a session cookie. On closure of the page it is automatically deleted.

4. Use of Flash cookies

The Website may use/use Adobe Flash Player to offer certain multimedia content. On most computers the program is installed by default.

In the event that you use some of this content, Google Analytics stores additional data on your computer, also known as Flash cookies (or Local Share Object) through which the Controller is able to know the total number of times a certain audio/video file has been opened, the number of people who use it through to the end and how many people, instead, close it before the end.

5. How to disable cookies via browser configuration
