1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy, provided pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation no. 679/2016 - General Data Protection Regulation (hereinafter "Regulation" or "GDPR") is intended to explain the types and methods of use, as well as to provide guidance on actions to refuse or delete cookies on the website, if desired.
Regarding any matter not directly explained here, please refer to the contents of our Privacy Policy
2. What cookies are and how they are used
Cookies are packages of information sent by a web server (e.g. the website) to your internet browser, which automatically stores them on your computer and automatically sends them back to the server each time you access the website.
By default, almost all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies.
Typically, cookies can be installed:
- directly by the owner and/or manager of the website (first-party cookies)
- by managers unrelated to a website visited by a user (third-party cookies). Unless otherwise specified, please note that these cookies fall under the direct and exclusive responsibility of the operator. Further information on privacy and their use may be found on the respective operators' websites.
This website may use, including in combination with each other, the following types of cookies classified according to the instructions provided by the Italian Data Protection Authority and, at European level, by the Working Party pursuant to art. 29:
- Session, which are not permanently stored on the user's computer and are deleted when the browser is closed. These cookies are strictly limited to transmission of the session identifiers required to enable safe and efficient exploration of the website, avoiding the use of other IT techniques that could potentially compromise the confidentiality of the user's browsing.
- Persistent, which remain stored on a computer's hard drive until they expire or are deleted by users/visitors. Persistent cookies enable visitors to a website (or any other users of the same computer) to be automatically recognised each time they visit the website. Visitors can set their computer's browser to accept or reject all cookies, or display a warning each time a cookie is proposed so that they can decide whether or not to accept it. However, users can change the default configuration and disable (i.e. permanently block) cookies by setting the highest level of protection.
- Technical cookies are those used to authenticate your identity, use multimedia content such as Flash Player, or select the browsing language. In general, therefore, it is not necessary to obtain prior informed consent from the user. This category also includes cookies that are used to statistically analyse access/visits to a website, only if they are exclusively used for statistical purposes and by collecting information in aggregate form.
- Non-technical cookies are those used for profiling and marketing purposes. Their use on users' computers is prohibited if users have not first been adequately informed, and have not given their valid consent using the opt-in technique. These types of cookie are, in turn, grouped according to the functions they perform, as follows:
- Analytics. These cookies are used to collect and analyse statistical data regarding access/visits to the website. In some cases, combined with other data such as credentials entered to access restricted areas (your email address and password), they may be used to profile you (personal habits, sites you visit, content you download, types of interactions you make, etc.). For example, in order to obtain aggregate statistical data useful in evaluating your use of a website and your activities, Google Inc. stores the information collected by a cookie on servers that may be located in the United States or other countries. Google reserves the right to transfer the data collected with its cookie to third parties, where this is required by law or where the third party processes data on its behalf. Google ensures that it does not associate your IP address with any other data held, in order to obtain a more detailed user profile.
- Widgets. This category includes all the graphic components of a program's user interface, which are aimed at facilitating the user's interaction with the program itself. For example, the cookies of Facebook, Google+ and Twitter are widgets.
- Advertising. This category includes cookies used to advertise on a website.
- Web beacons. This category includes code fragments that enable a website to transfer or collect data by requesting a graphical image. Websites may use them for various purposes, such as analysing use of the websites, monitoring and reporting on advertisements, and personalising advertisements and content.

In the event that you use some of this content, Google Analytics stores additional data on your computer, also known as Flash cookies (or Local Share Object) through which the Controller is able to know the total number of times a certain audio/video file has been opened, the number of people who use it through to the end and how many people, instead, close it before the end.
The Adobe website provides information on how to remove or disable Flash cookies (see URL http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/security)
Please note that limiting and/or eliminating the use of this type of Flash cookie may affect the functions available to applications based on Flash technology.
